FOR TEAMS THAT MAKE GOOD SERVICE HAPPEN
YOU DIDN’T OPEN A RESTAURANT TO MANAGE A SPREADSHEET
The roster is only the beginning. It’s the messages, the missing availability, and the last-minute “who’s covering this?” that follow you into service.
Availability in one chat. A day-off request in another. The details you need are somewhere in between.
Having enough names on the page isn’t the same as having the right qualified people in the right place.
Was the stock counted? Did someone finish the closing checks? Your memory shouldn’t be the system.

Rostr is invite-only for now. Send the inquiry form below and we’ll email you personally to arrange a demo. After approval, the owner receives a single-use access code to register and create the organization. Codes are tied to the approved email and expire after seven days. There is no payment checkout at this stage.
Restaurant and café teams that need a shared place to plan shifts and run daily routines. Owners and managers set up the workspace and publish rosters; staff share availability, view their own published shifts, count stock, and complete shared checklists.
Yes. Floor rosters support full-time and part-time working profiles. Full-time staff request a regular weekly off day; part-time staff submit preferred hours inside their firm availability limits. Managers confirm the qualifications each employee can cover.
No. Managers review the draft and coverage report, resolve blockers, and publish when it is ready. If inputs change, revalidate before publishing. Staff see their own published assignments, while a replacement draft stays under review.
A regular weekly off day is separate from annual leave. Accepted off days stay protected. Annual leave is recorded after approval outside Rostr and blocks roster assignments; a conflict with published work alerts the manager for review.
For a published floor roster, managers create a draft revision, make changes, revalidate, and publish the replacement. The existing published roster remains visible until then. Notifications keep staff informed about roster publications and supported shift changes.
Yes. Managers define stock items and opening/closing templates. Workspace members record physical counts, complete today's shared checklists, and add notes. Count history and daily checklist snapshots keep previous work available for review.
Rostr focuses on scheduling, availability, floor coverage, physical stock counts, and shared daily checklists. Payroll, clock-in tracking, purchasing, and sales forecasting are outside the current feature set. Exact break placement and relief coverage are arranged manually.
